UpdateImage New update out with new branding! Stormilla turned 3 years old last month so I want to first thank Napstatoast for sticking with this project for so long and helping contribute to it and thank everyone else for downloading and supporting the project over the years. We've also hit 1k diamonds on PMC and 100 followers on Modrinth so again thank you! Enjoy!

The new logo takes aspects of the minecraft styled one and the oldest one from about 2 years ago. The pack icon has become much brighter with simpler shading and black and blue in the background.

Also changing what is in the fixes list of change logs, the fixes section used to only have Stormilla bugs but now includes both Stormilla bugs and Minecraft bugs.


Some features require OptiFine or Fabric/Quilt equivalent mods.

Added:

  • Cows given entirely new model, has a snout, a tail that moves when it walks, bigger horns and ears. Has 6 variants, 4 spotted, 2 plain. Changes apply to mooshrooms too
  • Added diagonal firework item with a border and shading changes (vertical when thrown on ground and launched)
  • Melon stem changed into 2 large stalks that converge and connect to the melon on top, every growth stage has a unique texture as well
  • Pumpkin stem changed to 1 large stalk with big leaves coming off and connect to pumpkin on top, every growth stage has a unique texture as well
  • Added new wall post and wall textures for large brick and polished walls (small bricks are unchanged)
  • Added new arrow texture with a border around it, tipped has animated effect particles
  • Pumpkin side completely reshaded, now looks rounder, top and bottom use palette of side and are reshaded
  • Reshaded bamboo stalks to look more like the planks
  • Added big headed baby villagers
  • Added border to bamboo item and reshaded it
  • Armor stand given new texture similar to fences that makes more sense
  • Added color coded subtitles
  • Added random rotation to moss, moss carpet, coarse dirt, gravel, sniffer eggs
  • Added random rotation to sides of dirt, sand, red sand, rooted dirt
  • Melons given custom break particles showing inside of them
  • Pressure plates given custom textures
  • Updated firework star item to better fit modern mc textures
  • Reshaded scute to not be pillow shaded
  • Tweaked moss and gravel texture to reduce grid-like look and strange patches
  • Changed position of bamboo, firework and map in hand in third person

Updated:

  • Bedrock given new unique texture to look more like tough natural rock
  • Made a bunch of tweaks to chest textures (hinges inside, bottom of lid and top of base plank parts, top and bottom planks)
  • Changed button items to be 3D looking instead of flat
  • Pressure plate items now have sprites
  • Tweaked arrow entities
  • Changed name of Bole blocks (6-sided logs) to Full Logs (Now grouped with logs when you search logs in creative and recipe book)
  • Tweaked palettes of most stripped logs and mangrove hanging sign now uses new palette (Dark oak is more saturated, cherry is less, jungle is less contrasty)
  • Removed 3D door knobs from doors (think it's too much detail)
  • Changed some subtitles
  • Edited entity shadow to be pixel consistent for player-like and similar sized entities
  • Changed shading of barrel bottom to modern plank shading
  • Inside the open barrel reshaded to be darker
  • Changed inside of unfilled respawn anchor to regular obsidian
  • Fixed wandering trader having 2 hoods
  • Removed stretching from propagules and tinted cross plants (grass, ferns, etc.)
  • Lichen emissive removed so it can be used as a less visable light source in builds better
  • Centered repeater and comparator items
  • Edited magenta glazed terracotta
  • Tweaked pitcher plant blue palette

Fixes:

  • Fixed lighting on potted plants with cross models
  • Fixed lit redstone torches on repeaters and comparators looking dark
  • Fixed mangrove propagule being dark
  • Fixed gray parts around blaze rod on brewing stand being cut off just before touching base
  • Fixed heart particles still having old gui heart look
  • Fixed mud bricks being mirrored on one side when they shouldn't be
  • Fixed spruce trapdoors using wrong side texture on left and right sides when closed
  • Fixed lightning rod being held awkwardly and too big in third person
  • Fixed scaffolding not having new bamboo palette
  • Fixed z-fighting issue with item frames with maps on them with block behind them
  • Fixed minor lighting issues on rails
  • Fixed pixel sticking out of potted spruce sapling
  • Fixed button textures being upside down on ground
  • Fixed some stats icons being outdated
  • Fixed open barrels not having ambient occlusion
  • Fixed 2 miscolored pixels on crafting table side
  • Fixed tiny clipping issue on sunflower model top
  • Anvils in item frames no longer z-fight with torches
  • Fixed "death.fell.accident.water" bug
  • Fixed bottom of inside cauldron being culled
  • Fixed bottom of rod on brewing stand not being culled
  • Removed unecessary face on beacon's core
