Host your Minecraft server on BisectHosting - get 25% off your first month with code MODRINTH.

Azurith adds a relatively simple but eventually slow leveling system that gives points you can spent on traits or attributes, giving permanent buffs to your stats, conditional effects called talents, or spells.

This datapack is currently missing many planned features

It still functions well, just levels and a few other features are limited or unconfirmed

I'm just releasing it to see how it does, if it does really well despite not even being finished, then I'll have more motivation to finish it sooner.

Feel free to join the Discord below for updates on its progress and planned features

Experience

Earn experience by getting normal xp, completing simple quests, using experience scrolls, or killing mobs. More difficult mobs give more experience, with low tier ones having a short cooldown.

Dying results in the loss of up to 50% of your current experience (but not your levels). Each level grants 2.5 points, and every other level will give 2 more mana capacity, but as you progress, more experience will be needed to reach the next level, scaling upwards.

Points

Points are earned as you level up and can be used to enhance your character’s attributes. Attributes can be stacked in different ways, but focusing on specific traits and reaching milestones can be more beneficial than spreading your points across different areas.

Every attribute is limited to 100 points.

Attributes Attributes are the collective traits and elements in which you can invest your points into, allowing you to shape your character’s strengths, and possibly learn the weaknesses of others.

Each attribute has their own unique talents, or abilities. The traits (strength, endurance, agility, and intelligence) focus on permanent buffs, while the elements (fire, earth, wind, water) focus on giving abilities

Innate

Every player starts with an innate boost which usually gives a small boost to a single attribute There are four rare innate boosts, with one being extremely rare and powerful, but not game-changing.

Mana

Starts with a base capacity of 250, which can be increased by leveling up or using the Ocean Elixir.

Regenerates slowly but can be boosted by increasing Intelligence or through Elemental Mastery.

Conduit Power significantly speeds up mana regeneration, with the Ocean's Elixir providing an even stronger version of this effect.

Element/Ability System The spell casting system uses a custom layout, allowing players to easily switch between and organize different abilities if they ever have the need to. You can rotate through available abilities, and casting is simple: just hold right click while holding the “Azurith Tome” in any slot (Mainly your offhand), and the ability corresponding to that slot will be activated once you let go of right click, giving the option to cancel the cast whenever but still activate near instantly.

Mana and Cooldown can be displayed above your hotbar if you enable it in your settings, and the cooldown display order won’t change, showing the exact time left when it’s under 5 seconds.
