Getting started

When joining into the world, you're gonna obtain several items. These items are only given to you at the very start of the world, you won't receive this starting pack again in a world that was already created.

Creature Egg: This is how you will obtain most creatures. You need to give this egg Hatching Sigils for making it hatch into a baby creature. Baby creatures will then be able to grow up and evolve depending on the elemental sigil you give it! Creature eggs are also obtained rarely when killing wild creatures.

Hatching Dream: This is how you obtain Hatching Sigils! These sigils are used for making Creature Eggs hatch into babies! Hatching Dreams are also obtained from killing wild creatures.

Dreamy Meat: This is a basic healing item that you can give to your creatures. It doesn't recover much HP, but it's useful for the start! You can also obtain this item from killing wild creatures.

Exquisite Dreamy Meat: This is the healing item that heals the most HP of the entire mod. It's dropped very rarely by wild creatures. There are more reliable sources of food, though.

Battling

Creatures can be used to battle other creatures or even vanilla mobs and other players, each creature have their own magic skill that they can use on their own while battling. There is an elemental system and a typing chart, the elements are: Elementless, Fire, Water, Grass, Ice, Earth, Wind, Electric, Light & Shadow. Here's an image showing what the typing chart looks like:

The only thing that exists for this mechanic is ''strong against''! This means that there are no elemental resistances or immunities, only strong against!

Creature drops

When killing wild creatures, you can obtain several different kinds of items from them. The most important item that you need to remember are the elemental sigils. Elemental sigils are used for making your own baby creatures evolve into the element you give it. Use the following image as an example:

The egg will have a 10% chance of hatching into a specific baby if you give it the specific baby's hatching sigil. This baby will then have a 20% chance of evolving into Nyarice if you give it ice sigils. Nyarice will then have a 10% chance of evolving into Kitrick if you keep giving it ice sigils, and so on.

''What is that strange item at the very end of the image?'' - You may ask. That is a Leviester. The Leviester is like the "soul" of the creatures. All creatures have a Leviester inside of them, and in some cases, their Leviester can resonate within them and let them get upgraded in some way. Not every creature is capable of resonating with their own Leviester, but those that do can get to experience something truly magical

List of Leviester forms

Type change: Changes the typing of the creature to another and its magic skill changes to one that matches that of the type it converts into.

HIT!: +8 ATK to the creature.

CHUB!: +15 HP to the creature.

Holy: The creature becomes Light type and adds +5HP & +5ATK to the creature.

Fallen: The creature becomes Shadow type and adds +5HP & +5ATK to the creature.

Armor: Adds +20HP & +7ATK to the creature and the magic skill becomes Armor Point.

Spawning

Each element is attatched to Minecraft biomes. You can edit with datapacks what elements belong to what biomes, as they work purely with tags. Here's a chart showing all the spawning biomes that come from default:

Other information

How are creatures obtained?

Creatures can be obtained in two ways: hatching them from creature eggs, or catching them with a dreamcatcher.

Creature eggs are the main method of obtaining creatures. They are obtained rarely whenever killing wild creatures, and can also be obtained through breeding Adult stage creatures. Once you have a creature egg, you need to give it hatching sigils to hatch it into the baby creature you want. These baby creatures will then need elemental sigils in order to evolve into the Baby II stage creature of the element you want it to evolve into. Sigils are obtained from killing wild creatures.

About the dreamcatcher...

It is a rare item to get, and it only has a 4% chance of successfully catching wild creatures. Its obtaining method is through crafting. This is meant to be just a secondary way of obtaining creatures, not a main one. The main way for obtaining creatures is meant to be through creature eggs.

What is that weird looking pink item next to the evolution trees?

That is an item called Leviester! It's a special gimmick item obtained rarely when killing wild creatures. A Leviester makes Adult creatures transform into special variants of themselves! For example, Trichat becomes a FireTrichat when exposed to a Leviester. The change is not only typing, it comes in multiple more variants, they're listed above!

What happens when my creature dies?

When your creature dies, it will become a creature egg! You don't forever lose your creature, it will just go back into being an egg, so you'd have to raise it from the start again.
