PIckable Health Orbs banner

OVERVIEW

We, at The Decursio Team, want to present to you today, one of our first mods, called Pickable Health Orbs! This is an RPG style mod which adds orbs that can be dropper by certain mobs/blocks. When picked up, these orbs will provide certain benefits, such as instant healing and other potion effects.

If you're a modpack developer, you might be happy to hear that, unlike other mods, this one uses entities to create these orb. This means that situations where a player would be able to pick up an orb and use it for later, will not happen. However, if you're interested exactly in the behavior described previously, know that, starting with one of the future versions, it will be possible to pick up an use the orbs for later, if that's what you want.

FEATURES

This mod is highly configurable. This means that you can add/remove any orbs you want through the mod's config file.

Additionally, you can customize the drop chance of every orb, which mobs should drop them, their effect duration, their effect amplifier and more.

By default, this mod features a number of 8 pickable orbs. Let's see them:

- Healing: When picked up, it will heal the player by a flat amount (which can be configured)

Poisonous: Will inflict the Poison effect for 5 seconds by default

- Damaging: This is mainly the "Instant Damage" effect from the Vanilla Minecraft - It will give two hearts of damage

- Jumping: Will give the Jump Boost effect for 5 seconds by default

- Speedster: Gives the speed effect for 5 seconds

- Confusion: Inflicts Blindness for 5 seconds

- Levitation: Will allow the player to levitate for 5 seconds

- Fire Resistance: Provides Fire Resistance for 5 seconds

Again, all the values mentions before can be altered through the mod's config file which can be found in instance/config/pickableorbs/orbs.
